Apparently the false-alarms came from some misleading information in a WWD article that has since been ammended. Racked and Refinery29updated their stories as well.
Instead, the UK-based e-commercemegashop plans to open its first USoffice at 142 Greene Street in NYC, according to WWD.
It's bad news for anyone who got psyched at the thought of trying on all of ASOS' snazzy duds IRL--but the good news is that the site is obviously doing well enough to afford rental on a 3,325-square-foot space at $65/square foot (that's $216,125 a month).
Which means a future full of even more ASOS. Amen.
